This summer, the Evansville Museum of Arts and Science mounted a special exhibition of the painting "Boy With Gun" from it's permanent collection. The painting was completed in 1988, while Addington was attending graduate school at Illinois State University. That year it won the top award in the 39th Mid-States Biennial Exhibition held by the Museum, and was purchased for their pemanent collection. Ten years later, The Director of the Museum felt that, in light of current events, the message of the painting was a timely one, and this exhibition was organized. This article, appearing in the Evansville Courier, accompanied the opening of the exhibition. The painting will be on view through the summer. Evansville Museum of Arts and Science, 411 S.E.
